The Royal Army Medical Service delivers world-class medical, dental and nursing care to the British Army at home and on operations around the world. RAMS personnel train and deploy alongside military units, providing healthcare from the point of injury through evacuation, treatment and rehabilitation. Whether supporting humanitarian missions, contingency operations or combat deployments, RAMS personnel play a vital role in protecting the health, wellbeing and operational effectiveness of the Army.
The Royal Army Medical Service (RAMS) was formed on 15 November 2024 through the amalgamation of the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC), the Royal Army Dental Corps (RADC) and Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps (QARANC), bringing together centuries of proud military medical heritage into a single Corps. The RAMS Charity and Association exists to support serving personnel, veterans and families of the Royal Army Medical Service and its forming Corps, preserving their history, fostering lifelong connections and providing welfare, comradeship and support across the RAMS community.
